360 Hoops Brings a New Dimension to Coach K's 'K Academy' at Duke University
In May, the 360 Hoops team had the privilege of bringing a custom K Academy-branded 360Flex portable system to Duke University's K Academy—the premier basketball fantasy camp in the country founded by legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski.
Set just outside the iconic Cameron Indoor Stadium, the 360 Hoops Fan Zone quickly became one of the most active gathering spaces on campus. Throughout the week, campers, Duke basketball alumni, families, and young fans stepped onto the court to compete, connect, and experience basketball in an entirely new way.
K Academy welcomed 160 campers and more than 50 Duke basketball alumni, creating an environment unlike any other in the game. While the week was built around elite basketball experiences, the 360 Hoops activation showcased something equally powerful: the ability to bring together participants of all ages through a single basketball experience.
From competitive shooting contests and knockout tournaments to slam dunk competitions and alumni exhibition games, the court was constantly in use. But some of the most memorable moments came when campers stepped off the court and invited their families to join the action.
One of the greatest strengths of the 360Flex system is its versatility. Throughout the week, our team adjusted hoop heights to accommodate everyone from young children experiencing 360 Hoops for the first time to former Duke players reliving their competitive spirit. Within minutes, the same court could transform from a family-friendly activity zone into a highly competitive challenge arena.
Children of campers and alumni spent hours playing alongside parents and grandparents, creating an experience that extended far beyond traditional basketball. What began as a fantasy camp activation became a shared family experience—one that drew people together, sparked competition, and created lasting memories.
For 360 Hoops, K Academy represented a perfect example of the platform's versatility. Whether serving as a centerpiece attraction at an elite adult basketball camp, an engaging fan zone activation, a youth sports experience, or a community event, the game adapts to the audience while delivering the same outcome: people having fun together through basketball.
As 360 Hoops continues to expand across tournaments, camps, schools, community events, and entertainment experiences, activations like K Academy reinforce the universal appeal of the game and the flexibility of the 360Flex system.
We are grateful to the K Academy staff, Duke University, Coach K, the campers, families, and alumni who made the week so memorable. We look forward to creating even more unforgettable basketball experiences in the years ahead.
"It was great to see 360 Hoops transform a traditional basketball space into an innovative 360-degree court experience that both kids and adults could enjoy together."
