360 Hoops Takes the Court with the U.S. Army at Shades of Green

A private multi-day showcase in Orlando highlighted a powerful opportunity to bring more movement, connection, and competition to military communities around the world.

Last week, 360 Hoops had the opportunity to bring its patented three-hoop basketball platform to one of the most impactful communities in the country: the U.S. military.

Hosted at Shades of Green at Walt Disney World, the private showcase brought together leaders from the U.S. Army, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) to experience 360 Hoops firsthand and explore how the platform could help create more opportunities for soldiers, families, staff, and communities to get active and connect.

For 360 Hoops, it was more than a product demonstration. It was an opportunity to put the system directly in front of the people responsible for creating recreation, fitness, wellness, and community experiences across the global United States military.

Three Systems. Three Brands. One Shared Mission.

For the showcase, 360 Hoops created three custom systems representing the three organizations at the heart of the experience: U.S. Army, MWR, and BOSS.

The customized systems served as a physical representation of how 360 Hoops can be integrated into different military recreation environments while maintaining a shared purpose: creating more energy, more participation, and more connection through play.

The platform is built around three hoops that allow more people to play in the same footprint, while its adjustable height—from 4.5 to 10 feet—makes it accessible to different ages, abilities, and skill levels. Its commercial-grade portable design can be used indoors or outdoors, including gyms, parking lots, hangars, field houses, and event spaces.

That versatility quickly became one of the biggest points of interest for military recreation leaders.

150+ Leaders Saw 360 Hoops in Action

The showcase featured a live demonstration for more than 150 military and recreation leaders, giving attendees the opportunity to see the system operate in a real-world environment rather than simply hearing a sales pitch.

But the experience didn't stop with the demonstration.

Throughout the evenings at Shades of Green, a parking deck became an arena. Exhibition tournaments and pickup games gave attendees the chance to step onto the court, compete, experience the three-hoop format, and understand how the system could be used to create programming for a wide range of participants.

That hands-on experience was critical.

Because 360 Hoops isn't simply another basketball hoop. It is a three-in-one platform built for versatility, competition, and community—designed to create more ways to play, more often, in less space.

And for military recreation, that distinction matters.

A New Opportunity for Military Recreation

Military installations are communities.

They include soldiers and service members, but also military families, children, civilian employees, fitness staff, recreation professionals, and visitors. Recreation facilities have the opportunity to serve all of them—and often need to do so within limited space and with programming that can adapt quickly.

That is where 360 Hoops can provide a unique advantage.

The system is portable, mobile, adjustable, and versatile, allowing military recreation teams to move the experience where the community needs it.

A system can live in a gym one day, move outside for a family day the next, and then be used for a tournament, youth program, fitness activation, clinic, or pickup games.

The sales opportunity is therefore much bigger than basketball.

It is about creating a recreation platform that can support multiple programs and multiple generations within the same community.

The military sales program specifically identifies MWR and fitness programs, youth programs, unit events, family days, and tournaments as potential mission-ready applications for the systems.

More Than a Game

One of the most compelling aspects of the experience at Shades of Green was seeing how quickly 360 Hoops could bring people together.

Pickup games created an immediate social environment. Exhibition tournaments added competition. The three-hoop format encouraged participation and movement. And because the system can accommodate different ages and skill levels, it can be programmed around an entire community rather than a single type of athlete.

For military installations, that flexibility can be especially valuable.

The goal isn't necessarily to replace existing recreation opportunities. It's to add another tool that recreation leaders can deploy wherever and whenever they need it.

More participation.

More activity.

More opportunities to compete.

More opportunities for families and service members to connect.

And ultimately, more reasons for people to get up, get moving, and engage with their community.

From One Showcase to a Global Opportunity

The August showcase at Shades of Green reinforced something 360 Hoops has believed from the beginning: the system has the potential to be a powerful fit for military recreation.

The U.S. military operates an enormous network of installations and recreation programs, each serving unique communities with different facilities, populations, and programming needs.

A portable platform that can move between indoor and outdoor spaces—and be used for open play, training, tournaments, clinics, leagues, challenges, and activations—gives those communities a new level of flexibility.

The opportunity is not limited to a single installation or a single program.

It is the possibility of creating a scalable recreation solution that can be deployed across military communities around the world.

And that's what made the Shades of Green experience so meaningful for 360 Hoops.

We weren't simply showing military leaders a new basketball system.

We were showing them a new way to think about space, programming, participation, and community.

The Next Chapter

The response at Shades of Green reinforced the belief that 360 Hoops can play a meaningful role in the future of military recreation.

From MWR programming and BOSS events to family days, youth programs, tournaments, fitness initiatives, and everyday pickup games, the platform gives recreation teams another way to activate their spaces and bring people together.

The systems are fully assembled, ready to use, and supported by a playbook designed to help facilities activate them from day one. They are also 100% made in the United States.

Most importantly, the experience demonstrated something that can't be captured on a sales sheet:

When you put 360 Hoops in a community, people want to play.

At Shades of Green, more than 150 leaders saw it.

Then they stepped onto the court.

They competed.

They played pickup.

They experienced the energy.

And they began to see what 360 Hoops could mean for the soldiers, families, staff, and communities they serve.

This was just the beginning.
